As for Me & My House

As our cultural spirals into greater dysfunction godly men must pay even more attention to lead their own households in joyful submission to God’s design. Many ungodly arrows are aimed at our homes. The attempts to redefine marriage, maleness and femaleness, and what constitutes a “modern” family are all fiery darts from the wicked one. Our families and our church need us to echo the resolve of Joshua, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). But how does a Christian husband/father carry out that vision? How can he be the spiritual leader of his home? The answer is found through the Biblical paradigm of prophet, priest and king. First revealed in the Old Testament and ultimately fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament, prophet, priest and king reveals who Jesus is, what he has done for us and how he loves and leads us. Likewise it also provides a model for a Christian husband and father to love and lead his wife and family. Join us as we learn to lead and love our families well through the model of prophet, priest and king.
